Truer words were never spoken and I’m proud of my Chicks for having the courage to set out on their creative journeys. They don’t know what waters lie ahead but they know they can only reach their dreams by casting off and trusting that I will guide them. And what better way to celebrate their milestones than a beautiful day on the water together?

When my first book was released, I celebrated by saying yes to everything. Featured Author at Family Reading Night? Yes. Speak to a class of teenagers with multiple handicaps? Yes. Assembly program for 400 kids? Yes. Work a booth at Disability Awareness Day? Yes. I lost sight of my own familiar shores with every yes, but it was FUN!
That looks like so much fun! What a great idea. Now I kind of want to go sailing. Too bad there isn’t so much as a big lake near me.
