I started a new hobby! Yes, I know, with what time?
Last year my mother-in-law got us for Christmas a beautiful knitted scarf. I asked her how she did it and she started to teach me the basics of knitting.
A year later, I decided that if I was going to sit and watch TV I might as well be productive. And started Knitting a Blanket. I totally forgot what my mother- in-law showed me. So, I got on you-tube and watched a few videos and said “how hard can this be?” Let me say, it’s been hard as you can tell from the picture on the left.
But, I’m not giving up. This year I would like to make a few blankets for Christmas and need your help for an 
easy pattern and instructions how to knit. If you can look at the picture and tell me what I’m doing wrong that would be awesome. I only know how to do one stitch.

From what I can see the mistakes are ones that will get better if you just keep knitting and get more used to the motion of the stitches. If you want tutorial videos for other stitches and things you’re having trouble with, this is a good site http://www.knittinghelp.com/
They have some patterns too. You can also find a lot of patterns online especially on sites like ravelry.com

Yeah, it takes a while to get it, but knitting while watching tv means you get a fair amount of knitting in without having to set aside time for it. And you feel less bad about watching tv XD
