Beauty.  Tragedy.

A Japanese Magnolia

reminds us of both.

Beautiful!! I think beauty when I see it, including the beauty of the Japanese people and the people who are rushing to help them in their many hours of need.

Well said, Vivi. There is so much to be admired about the Japanese, their discipline and grace, even amid such a trying time. They are most deserving of any and all assistance that we, the rest of the world, can give.

What a fitting tribute. Even before the natural disasters in Japan, I have been admiring these trees blooming all around Orlando and wondering what kind they were. Would love to have one in my yard.
